Home FAQ

Q: Do I need a referral from my GP before I make an appointment?

A: No, you do not need a doctors referral to make an appointment with us.

However if your treatment is covered through Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), or the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Scheme, then a doctors referral will be required.

Q: Do you have after hours appointments?

A: Noble park podiatry is open every Monday and Wednesday 8.30-5.30pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30-3pm. We also offer Saturday morning appointments from 9.30-1.30pm.

Q: How do I make an appointment?

A: You can telephone our friendly reception staff on (03) 9547 1666 Monday- Friday. If you are calling after hours, please leave a detailed message and our staff will get back to you as soon as possible.

Alternatively you can book directly online from our website. If we are fully booked on your preferred day we suggest that ask to be placed on a “cancellation list” for that day.

Q: Will you confirm my appointment?

A: You will receive a phone call, a SMS or an email reminder before your appointment. Twenty four hours notice is requested for cancellations or reschedules.

Q: How much will my consultation cost?

A: Fees vary depending on the type of consultation you require. Initial consultations always cost more than follow up appointments. We do offer discounts for Seniors/pensioners and healthcare card holders.

Q: How long is the appointment?

A: Initial consultations take 30-40min, follow up appointments vary from 20-30 min, depending on your requirements.

Q: Is Podiatry treatment covered by Medicare?

A: If you have a registered EPC plan from your doctor we utilise Medicare online and we submit your claim directly to Medicare on the day of your appointment. You will receive the Medicare rebate directly into your bank account within 24-48 hours. This EPC program allows up to 5 visits per year.

Please note, this clinic does not BULK BILL.

Q: Do you have HICAPS?

A: Yes, so if you have private health cover with extras and you are covered for Podiatry, we can swipe your card the same day of treatment to claim the rebate, leaving only the gap payment to be paid via cash, EFTPOS or credit card. Rebates vary according to your fund and the level of cover you have. If you wish, you can check your rebate amount directly with your health fund.

Q: Should I bring my medical history with me?

A: If you have recent recent Xrays or ultra sound results of the foot or lower legs please bring these on your appointment. If you already have orthotics please bring these with you as well as the shoes you wear most frequently so our podiatrist can check them. If you have diabetes, heart disease or are taking blood thinning medication it is important you notify the podiatrist before your treatment.

Q: Do you do home visits?

A: No
